==============
You probably won't hear this on your liberal news channel... the Lame Stream Media (LSM), like CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, LATimes, NYTimes, etc..
From these two news reports (see below my signature), with the 2nd one actually quoting the officers who were first on the scene, it looks like George Zimmerman probably did confront (or get too close to) Trayvon Martin... but then Trayvon started beating the hell out of George and George shot Trayvon while he was on the ground pinned down under Trayvon with Trayvon beating him up.
Some other things you may not know... because they keep showing a picture of a young looking Trayvon Martin... but he is 6' 2", 180 lbs., played football for his high school and was currently suspended from school for an unknown reason which is why he was staying at his mom's home on the night of this incident.
I do not know what happened but I DO KNOW that I would like the media to report ALL the facts and to do their jobs by digging up ALL the facts... not just air the talking heads who have already convicted George Zimmerman without knowing a fraction of the facts. And then when the so-called leaders of the African-American community start calling for protests and justice... and then the New Black Panthers call for violence and issue a reward against George Zimmerman and the ASSHOLE,
If George Zimmerman is harmed, they will ALL have blood on their hands... the so-called black leaders and the Lame Stream Media.
I sent the below info out as an email on March 23, 2012 and was verifying some more info before posting the info on my blog.
Update - 3/26/2012 - 7pm CST - I heard Sheppard Smith on Fox News Channel and then Bill O'Reilly both mention the below FACTS so at least Fox News Channel is starting to report ALL of the facts. And http://www.TheBlaze.com is covering the entire incident from all sides here... http://www.theblaze.com/news/trayvon-martin/ which had several updates from today... including an article about Trayvon's suspension record. Here's a snip... "First, Martin’s school suspension record. According to an investigation by the Miami Herald, Martin was suspended twice - once in October of last year for graffiti, and prior to the shooting for possession of a bag with traces of marijuana and a “marijuana pipe.” Martin was also found in possession of some jewelry and what the Herald describes as a “burglary tool,” though these items were not convincingly established as being owned by Martin himself, following an independent investigation by police."

Man shot and killed in neighborhood altercation
Updated: Friday, 23 Mar 2012, 10:02 AM EDT Published : Monday, 27 Feb 2012, 4:55 PM EST
SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Investigators with the Sanford Police Department are still trying to figure out exactly what happened during an altercation which resulted in a fatal shooting in the Twin Lakes area. The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday evening on Twin Trees Lane. A man who witnessed part of the altercation contacted authorities.
"The guy on the bottom, who had a red sweater on, was yelling to me, 'Help! Help!' and I told him to stop, and I was calling 911," said the witness, who asked to be identified only by his first name, John.
John said he locked his patio door, ran upstairs and heard at least one gun shot.
"And then, when I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on the top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point."
On Monday afternoon, a FOX 35 News crew met with Tracy Martin who said the victim in the shooting is her 17-year-old son, Trayvon, who was visiting from Miami.
"He walked out of the house to go to the store. He was going to the store," she said. "He doesn't know anybody here. He just came down here, so he was bored, so he walked down to the store. He was on his way back home. I'm living down here. He was sitting on the porch and this man killed him."
Police said the shooter, identified as 25-year-old George Zimmerman, surrendered immediately. He has been questioned, but no charges have been levied and no arrest made.
Neighbors tell us that the shooter patrols the community at night and is a member of the Neighorhood Watch committee; however, police are not commenting.

The report, made by the first two officers to arrive at the scene of the shooting, cited a state law that says someone who unnecessarily kills another person while trying to prevent that person from committing an unlawful act, "shall be deemed guilty of manslaughter."
The report said that when the first officer arrived, Martin was lying "face-down on the ground" with his hands beneath him and that Zimmerman told the officer "that he had shot the subject and he [Zimmerman] was still armed."
The officer said he handcuffed Zimmerman and removed the gun and holster from inside Zimmerman’s waistband, and saw that his back was "wet and covered in grass" and that he was "bleeding from the nose and back of his head."
Zimmerman was put in the backseat of a police cruiser, given first aid by paramedics and taken to the police station to be interviewed by investigators.
The first officer at the scene, Timothy Smith, wrote in the report that he did not question Zimmerman at the scene.
