Radio talk-show giant Rush Limbaugh blasted President Barack Obama for his flawed understanding of the economy on Tuesday, referring to Obama as an "economic ignoramus" and a "jackass."

Triggering Limbaugh's wrath on his program were Obama's remarks to his economic recovery board on Monday.

At that meeting, top economic experts Martin Feldstein and William Donaldson advised the president to encourage businesses to hire workers by extending the Bush tax cuts. But Obama defended his policy of allowing taxes to increase on those families earning $250,000 or more.

"I don’t know any economists," said the president, "who think we are likely to get a bump in aggregate demand from $700 billion of borrowed money going to people like those of us around the table, who, if I suspect want a flat-screen TV, can afford one right now and are going out and buying one."

Limbaugh said he found it incredible that the president believes purchases of flat-screened televisions could bring about an economic recovery. He pointed out most of those are made in China anyway.

Obama is an “idiot, where capitalism is concerned,” Limbaugh said.

During the exchange with the economists, Obama said he was not concerned that wealthy people hit by large tax increases would "take their ball and go home," rather than contribute to economic activity.

According to ABC News, Limbaugh referred to the president as "our imam-child." Limbaugh shot back, “They have already taken their trillion-dollar ball home, and they're sitting on it, you jackass!"

Limbaugh pointed out that no one was proposing additional tax cuts. Extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone, Limbaugh said, would encourage businesses to invest and create jobs “which, once upon a time, we were told, was Obama’s top priority.”

Limbaugh added of the president: "He's a jackass. He's an economic illiterate. He's an economic ignoramus.”

“And that's being charitable.”

The most important chart on the Obama budget?

Oh yes…there are many things worth pointing out in this chart showing the deficit to GDP of the Bush and Obama administrations, based on numbers from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

For example, the worst year before the crash of the Bush administration was 3.5% deficit to GDP. The best year of the Obama administration over two terms would be 4.1%. But that’s NOT the most important thing.

The Bush administration averaged debt that was less than the historical average of past presidents for his entire two terms, only rising above that in the crash year of 2009, (when he obviously was not in office anymore, but was still largely responsible for the budget.) But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

In 2009, the projected Bush budget deficit was 8.3% of GDP, by the time Obama was done with it–it had skyrocketed even further—to 9.9%. But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

Even when you include the entire crash year of 2009, Bush still averaged only a 2.7% debt to GDP ratio—the historical average is 2.6%. Throw in the fact that he had 9-11, corporate scandals that started long before he was in office, and the great recession—that’s pretty amazing. Even as a partial Bush apologist, that surprised me. But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

The average deficit of the Bush years was 2.7%, the average of the theoretical deficit of two terms of Obama is 6.4%. But, that’s not the most important thing either.

What is? The years 2014-2020. Let’s say you blame the entire crash on Bush, and give Obama 6 full years to make up for it. If everything goes according to plan, Obama’s deficit falls to 4.1% of GDP in 2014. Yes, that’s still worse than any full Bush year, and 58% worse than the historical average—but the most vital thing is what happens NEXT. Even after he magically “steadies the economic ship”—the deficit is projected to GET WORSE EVERY YEAR UNTIL 2020, which is when estimates stop.

Even using rosy government estimates—there is no balanced budget under President Obama. There is no year that beats Bush’s worst full year. There is no year that approaches the historical average of past presidents. And, even after the crash passes, Obama continues to make things worse, and worse, and worse.

For once I agree with Obama. He is “bending the curve.” Perhaps we should focus on what way it’s being bent.

One very important thing is missing from the graph. Senator Barack Obama and the Dems controlled the Senate and the House after the 2006 election. Congress controls the deficit, not the President, except for vetoes. If you consider that, the deficits in the last 4 years up to 2006 were decreasing. Once the Dems took over, the curve bends up dramatically.

For all of you aspiring graph-geeks out there, remove the financial crisis by drawing a line from 2007 to 2014 and see the frightening yet consistent rise…

I, the undersigned, an American citizen, taxpayer, and voter.

Whereas the U.S. is facing one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression;

Whereas consumer spending and economic activity has contracted causing the downturn and high unemployment;

Whereas the Bush tax cuts, enacted in 2001 and 2003, will fully and automatically expire as of Dec. 31, 2010;

Is America Better Off Today Than It Was Two Years Ago???

While reading this article, "20 Questions for the Obama Regime", the last question prompted the title to this blog. Not withstanding the other 19 very important questions, answers and FACTS in the rest of the article, lets look at a few FACTS, in my own words!

Two years ago, unemployment was under 6% and was usually between 4% and 6% during President Bush's two terms... and since Obama took office, unemployment has hovered between 9.5% and 10%, even after Obama promised us it would not go over 8% if Congress passed Obama's Spendulus package, which has mostly failed... so we're not better off with unemployment. http://www.miseryindex.us/URbyyear.asp?StartYear=2000&EndYear=2009

Two years ago, the national debt was under $10 TRILLION and since Obama took office, his deficit spending of over a TRILLION dollars and nearly TWO TRILLION DOLLARS A YEAR has raised the national debt to OVER $13 TRILLION... a 33% increase since Obama took office. (Side note: When the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, the national debt was a little over $8 TRILLION so it's up around 60% in only four years of Democrat control... with projections, if Obama and the Democrats stay in control, of OVER $20 TRILLION!!!)... so we're not better off with the deficits and national debt.

The Misery Index during eight years of President Bush averaged only 8.11% and under Obama, the Misery Index has averaged 9.88%, OVER a 20% increase. The Misery Index has been down in single digits from 1993 until Obama took office and has been in double digits the past nine months... so we're not better off with the Misery Index. http://www.miseryindex.us/indexbypresident.asp

Since 9/11, there were NO terrorist attacks on American soil but since Obama has taken over and started babying the terrorists... or rather "man caused disasters" as he and his administration started calling terrorist attacks, there have been MANY terrorist attacks on American soil, fortunately a couple of them have failed due to the DUMB-ASSED terrorists but if they had succeeded, there would have been dozens, if not hundreds of Americans killed in those failed attacks. The ones that have succeeded resulted in dozens of American deaths on American soil... so we're not better off with terrorist attacks IN America!!!

I could go on and on but I think you get the point!

AMERICA IS NOT BETTER OFF TODAY THAN WE WERE TWO YEARS AGO... THANKS OBAMA!!!!

545 People - Updated And Amended From The 1985 Version

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 307 million are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party since 2006. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 307 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

IF CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) IS A POLLUTANT, THEN I KNOW OF A WAY TO GET RID OF A LOT OF IT.... GET RID OF ALL YOU WINDBAGS IN CONGRESS WHO ARE EXPELLING CO2 AT RECORD LEVELS WITH ALL YOUR HOT AIR!!! EVEN MORE SO WHEN YOU'RE BLOWING SMOKE UP THE ASSES OF THE PEOPLE!!!

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD REPEAL THIS FINDING... IF YOU DON'T, THEN YOU ALL ARE MASSIVE POLLUTERS AND WE TAXPAYERS SHOULD FINE EACH OF YOU JUST LIKE BP OIL IS BEING FINED FOR THEIR POLLUTION.

Surely, now you can see the stupidity in claiming that CO2 is pollution when it clearly is not and all plants/trees need CO2 in order to create Oxygen (O2) during photosynthesis. If we did away with CO2 creation, we would also be doing away with Oxygen creation.

Yes folks, that graph shows the OUT OF CONTROL spending by the Obama administration... many times worse than what was done by George W. Bush, which was bad enough. In just one year, Obama did more DEFICIT SPENDING than George W. Bush did in his lat four years in office... including the first Wall Street Bailout right near the end of his last year in office. Here are the actual deficits for 2005 thru 2008 (W's last four years) which total $1.1 Trillion over four years... and then Obama's 2009 ONE YEAR deficit of $1.4 Trillion and the 2010 Deficit is projected to possibly be even more than 2009's deficit.

A Petition to President Obama and All Congressmen
We the citizens of the United States of America demand that our elected officials in Congress and the White House take immediate action to curb the threat of inflation and higher taxes to this great nation and its people.

We have all witnessed you enact legislation and overreaching programs that have added over $13 trillion to our national debt.

Why Does The LSM Report More About Concern For Animals Than Humans?

As most of you know, I grew up and live down in New Orleans... or N'Awlins as we pronounce it down here. Well, I've been watching the LSM (Lame Stream Media, aka left wing liberal media like ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, HLN, etc.) coverage of the BP oil rig accident and subsequent massive crude oil spill and looming ecological issues... possibly even a disaster... BUT WHY DOES THE LSM REPORT ON EVERY FISH, SEAGULL, TURTLE AND PELICAN and spend very little time reporting about the human effect?

Yeah... I know most of you are saying, but Lenny, they are reporting about the fisherman and oyster growers and shrimpers and tourist attractions that will be adversely affected by this accident... BUT THAT ISN'T WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!

I'm talking about all of the humans that will die of heat stroke or freeze to death due to their inability to pay their electric bills or buy heating oil. Literally, every year, hundreds of people die due to the high cost of energy and Congress and most of the Presidents have sat idly by while our country quit harvesting our own energy supplies, instead importing so much of it. We haven't built any nuclear power plants in decades. We haven't built any oil refineries nor have we done the amount of onshore and offshore exploration and drilling to keep up with our country's demands. Instead, we've sent trillions of dollars to countries that hate us in order to buy their energy.

Think about all of the jobs we would have today in the energy industry if our so-called leaders (aka spineless politicians) hadn't wimped out to the left wing bleeding heart tree-hugger's over the past few decades???

And what is our socialist President and bleeding heart liberal progressive Congress doing about our energy needs today? Thinking of new ways to tax energy in order to raise money for them to waste on their stupid-assed social programs instead of freeing up our energy industry to start drilling, mining, building nuclear power plants, etc... every thing that we know how to do in order to find and produce a LOT more energy today, which will result in much lower prices for us consumers...

... SO LESS PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE IN THE COMING SUMMERS AND WINTERS DUE TO THE HIGH ENERGY PRICES BROUGHT ON BY OUR SO-CALLED LEADERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C., WHICH WOULD SAVE HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF HUMAN LIVES IN THE COMING DECADES!!!

It's time to drill baby, drill! Refine baby, refine! Mine baby, mine and build baby, build (nuclear power plants) AND SAVE THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN'S LIVES OVER THE COMING YEARS AND DECADES.

Now, that is what the LSM should be reporting instead of worrying about another turtle, fish or bird that is being affected by this accident.

Help Stop the Secret Gas Tax

The Left wants us to drive our cars less, and they believe the way to achieve that is by raising the cost of gasoline. That's why they want to increase the gas tax.

But they don't want you to know.

They'll deny their latest proposal is a gasoline tax because it doesn't raise the current 18.4 cents per gallon Federal Gasoline Excise Tax. But the details of the Kerry-Lieberman American Power Act reveal a new tax on top of the existing gas tax.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a RINO (Republican In Name Only) who helped craft this new gas tax, admitted the higher costs for energy companies "will be passed on" to motorists at the pump.

Don't be fooled by their spin. They call it the American Power Act, but this bill is a gas tax on you and your family.

And OBAMA is using the BP oil spill accident to promote this re-named TAX AND SPEND SCHEME!!!

Why The Stock Market Seems To Be Doing So Well While The Country Is Going To Hell In A Handbasket!!!

I was just listening to Fox News Channel and finally heard an analyst explain why the stock market is doing so well regardless of the horrible economic conditions around America and the world.

I was Googling this recently trying to find a plausible answer and nothing was jumping right out at me so I was SOOOO HAPPPYYYY to finally hear the reason in a simple explanation. Hopefully, I can explain it here as well as it was explained on Fox News Channel... with a few other highlights of my own that weren't included in the Fox News Channel report.

1) The real estate market is still in the toilet so there are not nearly as many investment dollars going into real estate right now. (My highlight)

2) Interest rates are at near zero right now so folks are not investing their money in Treasury Bills, CD's, etc., since they would lose money earning less than 2% while inflation goes up more than 2% so you would actually lose money in T-Bills right now.

3) Stock markets and economic conditions outside of the USA are in worse shape than in the USA.

4) Oil, Energy and many other commodities are in a precarious situation since many industries have no clue what Obama's taxing and spending and deficits and outrageously growing national debt and the potential Cap And Tax carbon-taxing scheme is going to do to them. (My highlight)

5) That pretty much leaves the only place where people have a chance of making a decent return on their dollar as being in America's various stock markets, especially since Obama's Administration has deemed so many companies as "Too Big To Fail" so investors expect that even if a company starts to fail, Obama will just do more deficit spending to bail them out.... so almost ALL INVESTMENTS ARE BEING MADE IN THE STOCK MARKET RIGHT NOW.

This analyst then went on to explain that eventually, and probably soon, the Federal Reserve will have to start raising interest rates and when they do, a lot of people and companies will pull money out of the stock markets and move into other investments that will start paying higher interest rates. When this happens, this analyst says the stock markets will start to decline considerably!

This all makes perfectly good sense to me and now I know what to look for as a trigger for me to make my decisions!

I just wish I would have been paying better attention to this analyst's name so I could give him credit here.
