It's Time To EAT THE RICH... that's right... TAKE ALL THEIR MONEY!!!

Since the majority of our dumb-assed politicians don't have the balls to cut spending and balance the budget and start paying down the national debt of over $14 TRILLION and rising to over $20 TRILLION under Obama... here's a way to at least balance the budget this year!

HOW TO BALANCE THE BUDGET AND PAY OFF THE DEBT... GET RID OF THESE THOUSANDS OF ADVISORY BOARDS!!!

EDIT - OOPS... I obviously made a big boo-boo on my math and the figure should have been BILLION's, not TRILLION's... but still, that is a LOT of money and should still be cut from the budget.  Obviously, I should have double and triple checked my math before posting this one!  :-P

-----------

So... I was just watching Fox News Channel reporting about Obama naming Immelt to head a new "Advisory Board" and in their follow-up reporting, they found that the Federal Government has OVER 1,000 different advisory boards with over 74,000 members sitting on these various boards. FNC further reported that just in the year 2000, the taxpayers paid OVER $200 MILLION for theses boards and that figure grew to OVER $350 MILLION in 2010 and is expected to be OVER $400 MILLION in 2011.

So... a little math and just between 2000-2010, the taxpayers paid AROUND $3 TRILLION for these boards. Now, with the national debt being over $14 TRILLION AND GROWING BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS, if we just got rid of all these boards, we would save OVER $4 TRILLION over the next 10 years but more importantly, if we did NOT have all these political patronage boards in the first place, we would not have a national debt at all. If we wasted AROUND $3 TRILLION in the past 10 years, extrapolating that even further back, I'm pretty sure we've spent MORE THAN $14 TRILLION over the past 50-70 years... the time frame that Washington, DC and all of the crooked-assed politicians started growing by leaps and bounds and pissing away so much of the taxpayers money on bullshit and frivolous programs... including these thousands of boards.

The President should end all of these boards by executive order but since he has been creating more and more boards in the past two years, I'm sure he won't... so it's up to the Republicans and hopefully some Democrats in Congress to pass legislation and budgets that defund these boards so they'll all just go away.

And... since I'm sending this email to ALL of my politicians from Louisiana and Washington, how about Louisiana getting rid of all of their bullshit boards and committees that cost us money at the state level. We elect you politicians to do YOUR JOB... not to hire boards and committees to do your job for you. If you can't do the job, then quit and let us hire/elect someone who can do the job without stealing more of our hard earned money!!!!

A Taxpayer Petition in Support of Preventing Tax HIkes - NTU.org (National Taxpayers Union)

I just signed the petition from the NTU directing Congress to pass legislation continuing the current tax rates (aka The President Bush Tax Cuts), otherwise a THREE TRILLION DOLLAR tax hike will take place next year... and we all know that Washington does NOT need to be spending and wasting even more money.  They already get $2.4 TRILLION to spend and can't even spend that responsibly and since Obama has been in office, they have been spending over a TRILLION DOLLARS MORE than the allowed $2.4 TRILLION (meaning deficits of OVER A TRILLION dollars a year under Obama AND $1.4 TRILLION THIS YEAR... which would be comparable to a family making $100,000 a year and spending over $140,000 a year and we all know that won't work!!!!)

Anyhow.. here's the link where you can sign the petition and I strongly encourage you to do so.

A Taxpayer Petition in Support of Preventing Tax Hikes

If Congress doesn’t act before the end of the year to prevent it, we’ll see an enormous $3 trillion tax hike take effect on January 1, 2011. Every single American, rich, poor, or in between, will see their income taxes rise, investment taxes skyrocket, and the revival of the currently expired Death Tax. These new burdens will devastate families and businesses across the country as they struggle to shake off the effects of the recession. Congress should act immediately to permanently extend current tax rates.

A Taxpayer Petition in Support of Preventing Tax Hikes

Dear [Decision Maker],

Whereas, failing to act before the end of the year would lead to $3 trillion worth of tax hikes taking immediate effect at the beginning of 2011;

Whereas, failing to act before the end of the year would cause every income tax bracket to rise, investment taxes to skyrocket, and the currently expired Death Tax to return with a vengeance;

Whereas, higher taxes will devastate our shaky recovery by reducing incentives for individuals and businesses to work and invest;

Whereas, more than 300 economists from all across the country and the ideological spectrum signed on to a letter supporting extension of lower tax rates;

Whereas, the American people sent a resounding message in the 2010 midterm elections that they support lower taxes and smaller government;

Therefore: I urge the President and the United States Congress to act immediately to prevent huge new tax burdens by permanently extending current tax rates.

Sincerely,

The most important chart on the Obama budget?

August 11th, 2010

Oh yes…there are many things worth pointing out in this chart showing the deficit to GDP of the Bush and Obama administrations, based on numbers from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

CLICK ON IMAGE TO SEE IT FULL SIZE OR OPEN IN ANOTHER TAB OR WINDOW
For example, the worst year before the crash of the Bush administration was 3.5% deficit to GDP. The best year of the Obama administration over two terms would be 4.1%. But that’s NOT the most important thing.

The Bush administration averaged debt that was less than the historical average of past presidents for his entire two terms, only rising above that in the crash year of 2009, (when he obviously was not in office anymore, but was still largely responsible for the budget.) But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

In 2009, the projected Bush budget deficit was 8.3% of GDP, by the time Obama was done with it–it had skyrocketed even further—to 9.9%. But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

Even when you include the entire crash year of 2009, Bush still averaged only a 2.7% debt to GDP ratio—the historical average is 2.6%. Throw in the fact that he had 9-11, corporate scandals that started long before he was in office, and the great recession—that’s pretty amazing. Even as a partial Bush apologist, that surprised me. But that’s NOT the most important thing either.

The average deficit of the Bush years was 2.7%, the average of the theoretical deficit of two terms of Obama is 6.4%. But, that’s not the most important thing either.

What is? The years 2014-2020. Let’s say you blame the entire crash on Bush, and give Obama 6 full years to make up for it. If everything goes according to plan, Obama’s deficit falls to 4.1% of GDP in 2014. Yes, that’s still worse than any full Bush year, and 58% worse than the historical average—but the most vital thing is what happens NEXT. Even after he magically “steadies the economic ship”—the deficit is projected to GET WORSE EVERY YEAR UNTIL 2020, which is when estimates stop.

Even using rosy government estimates—there is no balanced budget under President Obama. There is no year that beats Bush’s worst full year. There is no year that approaches the historical average of past presidents. And, even after the crash passes, Obama continues to make things worse, and worse, and worse.

For once I agree with Obama. He is “bending the curve.” Perhaps we should focus on what way it’s being bent.

Read a very solid analysis of these facts by Keith Hennessey here
http://keithhennessey.com/2010/07/12/spiraling-deficits/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+KeithHennessey+(Keith+Hennessey:+Your+guide+to+American+economic+policy)

UPDATE: A comment that points out another important observation:

Chris Norman Aug 11

One very important thing is missing from the graph. Senator Barack Obama and the Dems controlled the Senate and the House after the 2006 election. Congress controls the deficit, not the President, except for vetoes. If you consider that, the deficits in the last 4 years up to 2006 were decreasing. Once the Dems took over, the curve bends up dramatically.

For all of you aspiring graph-geeks out there, remove the financial crisis by drawing a line from 2007 to 2014 and see the frightening yet consistent rise…

545 People - Updated And Amended From The 1985 Version

545 PEOPLE - By Charlie Reese

(Originally written in 1985 with updates by many others over the years)

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 307 million are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party since 2006. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 307 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a retired columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it.......... is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren't so darned true.

Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me
to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
It's time to apply
The inheritance tax.

No Taxpayer Union Bailouts... Period!

The liberal-socialist Democrat led Congress is now trying to bailout all of the unions to the tune of $165 BILLION. This just cannot happen. America is already on the verge of bankruptcy and the Democrat led Congress has more than DOUBLED the National Debt in the past three years, from $6 TRILLION to OVER $13 TRILLION today with a projected $20 TRILLION National Debt by 2015 unless something is done TODAY!!! This debt is being passed on to your children and grand-children and it simply has to stop.

Using the Tea Party Citizen Action Center, please do like I did and send the following email to ALL of your elected thieves... ooops.. I mean your politicians.

Below is the email I just sent to all of mine!

Dear [The message(s) you sent had each recipient's name here]:

Enough is enough. The United States is on the verge of insolvency... actual employment is approaching 20% and Americans are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet.

And yet, elected officials on both sides of the aisle are pushing a taxpayer funded bailout of poorly managed union pension plans that, according to a number of news reports, may carry an initial price tag of $165 billion.

H.R. 3936 and S. 3157 must never see the light of day. Union pension plans are not a government entitlement program and the American people have no duty or obligation to financially support your political schemes, scams and payoffs. This insanity must stop!

Further...

What Happened To Obama's Promise To End Bailouts?

On April 14, 2010, Obama met with Congressional leaders from both parties and promised to put an end to bailouts.

Specifically, according to a statement issued by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs after the meeting: " ... he [Obama] reaffirmed his belief that we must end taxpayer bailouts, end 'Too Big To Fail' and that he would not accept a bill that did not pass that test."

But apparently, many in Congress aren't taking Obama at his word. And why should they? After all... they know the score... they can read the handwriting on the wall... and they know what they must do to maintain power.

After all, in his autobiography "Audacity of Hope," Barack Obama himself admitted, "I owe these unions."

The American people are turning against the extreme policies of the Obama administration and the irresponsible spending of liberals in Congress.

A revolution is brewing. Actual unemployment is approaching 20%. Our economy is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy and liberals know that rewarding Big Labor is one of the steps that they must take to counter the backlash that is coming from the American people to maintain power.

And, yet the liberal politicians in Washington seemingly have no problem fighting YOU with YOUR MONEY.

Well... we have a problem with it and we know that you have a problem with it too. And together, we're going to let them know that we're not going to permit or allow political payoffs on the taxpayers' dime.

Sincerely,

Leonard Vasbinder

I'm writing to inform you that I disapprove of your cynical attempt to capitalize politically on the tragic Gulf oil spill by using it as a pretext to push your statist "Cap-and-Trade" scheme through the U.S. Senate and impose crushing taxes and energy reductions on the American people.

DO NOT DO IT! NO New National Energy Tax!

GOD Help America... Check Out This Graph Of The Deficit

Yes folks, that graph shows the OUT OF CONTROL spending by the Obama administration... many times worse than what was done by George W. Bush, which was bad enough. In just one year, Obama did more DEFICIT SPENDING than George W. Bush did in his lat four years in office... including the first Wall Street Bailout right near the end of his last year in office. Here are the actual deficits for 2005 thru 2008 (W's last four years) which total $1.1 Trillion over four years... and then Obama's 2009 ONE YEAR deficit of $1.4 Trillion and the 2010 Deficit is projected to possibly be even more than 2009's deficit.

Date Value
2005 -318346
2006 -248181
2007 -160701
2008 -458555
2009 -1412686

This graph and information is right from the White House Office Of Management And Budget (or the OMB). Here's the same graph on the St. Louis Federal Reserve's page.

Lenny Vasbinder

Here's another view of the graph...

And check out what the NATIONAL DEBT has done since 1939 and then in the last four years of GWB and now in just one year of Obama. This is what happens when THE PEOPLE sit on their hands and let crooked politicians do whatever they want with OUR MONEY. Even the below images are out of date now. As of today, the actual National Debt is OVER THIRTEEN TRILLION DOLLARS with OVER ONE TRILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR deficits planned for the rest of Obama's term so the NATIONAL DEBT WILL BE NEAR TWENTY TRILLION DOLLARS AFTER OBAMA!!!!

America’s Ultimatum

A Petition to President Obama and All Congressmen
We the citizens of the United States of America demand that our elected officials in Congress and the White House take immediate action to curb the threat of inflation and higher taxes to this great nation and its people.

We have all witnessed you enact legislation and overreaching programs that have added over $13 trillion to our national debt.

We also realize that your first methods for addressing this drastic situation will be to raise our taxes and allow the onslaught of inflation to attack the wealth of American citizens. And these are not acceptable solutions. In the immortal words of Thomas Jefferson:

“To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

We the People realize this is not an overnight catastrophe. It has occurred over many years and multiple administrations, and we demand it cease now. We of this petition represent all parties and all people of this country. And we are united. We will not stand silently anymore as years of reckless spending have put at risk our wealth, our retirement savings, and our future. And we will not allow you to hurt the promise we’ve made to our children and grandchildren — that they have the right to achieve financial prosperity and claim their piece of the American Dream. We realize that the only way to get the message across to you is in the voting booths. And this petition serves warning. Inaction on your part will not go unnoticed.

We Are Issuing This Ultimatum to You

1.) Under no circumstances are you to allow the Federal Reserve or any elected official to enact further programs to weaken our monetary system causing crippling inflation to take hold.

“Inflation is as violent as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber and as deadly as a hit man.”
– Ronald Reagan

2.) Do not raise our taxes.

“An economy hampered by restrictive tax rates will never produce enough revenue to balance the budget — just as it will never produce enough jobs or enough profits.”
– John F. Kennedy

3.)You will immediately fix the fiasco you’ve caused by implementing a balanced budget program, ceasing over borrowing from foreign lenders, and putting an end to the historic increase in our money supply.

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
– Henry Ford

Ignore these three directives and you will hear our voices of dissent in the polls and at the elections.

We the People of the United States of America owe it not only to our Founding Fathers, but to future generations to stop you from harming this great country any further.

When united together our voices will be too loud to ignore.

With Outrage,

The Citizens Of The United States Of America
