MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Santa is busy doing his thing but it doesn't mean that politics and criticism can't continue.

PART TWO --

After reading this, all those who may have been misled proponents of Helen Keller might wish for retroactive lumps of coal in her stocking and wrapped rocks under her Christmas tree.

I've had this @TheBlaze article opened in a tab for about a week, wanting to write about it but time kept getting away from me -- and speaking of Time, The Blaze article is about a Time Magazine article that basically calls Helen Keller "just another privileged white person."  Wait! What???   https://www.theblaze.com/news/helen-keller-white-privilege-time

I finally opened the actual Time Magazine article (I usually refrain from visiting Time or most other left-wing LSM news "sources" so they do not financially benefit from my click for their advertising purposes -- but I wanted to read more about the quote.

Just a few paragraphs into the Time article were these two paragraphs which made me realize that Keller was not just a blind deaf girl who went on to greatness.  She was actually a far-left libtard and "just another privileged white person" --

SNIP - If students learn about any of Keller’s accomplishments as an adult, they learn that she became the first Deafblind graduate of Radcliffe College (now Harvard University) in 1904, and worked for American Foundation for the Blind from the mid-1920s until her death in 1968, advocating for schools for the blind and braille reading materials.

But they don’t learn that she co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union in 1920; that she was an early supporter of the NAACP, and an opponent of lynchings; that she was an early proponent of birth control...

She was a member of the Socialist Party and corresponded with Eugene Debs, the party’s most prominent member, and a five-time presidential candidate. She also read Marx, and her associations with all of these far-left groups landed her on the radar of the FBI, which monitored her for ties to the Communist Party. - END SNIP https://time.com/5918660/helen-keller-disability-history/

Those last two words, "birth control," were a link to a New York University website about "The Margaret Sanger Papers Project."

For those who have been living under a rock for the past 50 years, Margaret Sanger is the founder of Planned Parenthood as a form of providing abortions mostly to the black community.  Yes, Sanger was an avowed racist who wanted to control the black population in America -- and probably around the world.

Apparently, Keller's idea of "birth control" is not taking a BCP to help prevent contraception, but her "birth control" was actually pro-abortion and favoring infant euthanasia (a/k/a abortions -- especially to those who may be predisposed to health issues).

SNIP - Keller, who became blind and deaf following an illness when she was 19 months old, did not appreciate being used as a prop for these infant euthanasia opponents. She wrote that Haiselden “performed a service to society as well as to the hopeless being he spared from a life of misery . . . the world is already flooded with unhappy, unhealthy, mentally unsound persons that should never have been born.” - END SNIP https://www.nyu.edu/projects/sanger/articles/keller.php

WOW!!!  Just WOW!!!  Public education (and probably most private education) has failed us all again!!!

Public Service Announcement (PSA) -- Limit how many posts or shares you do on #Fakebook

Thanks for shopping through my store. I do earn a very small commission on your purchases but it doesn't cost you anything extra.

=====================

PSA - I haven't posted this in a while but before you share everything you look at on #Fakebook, remember that some of your friends have more than 20 friends.

I personally do not post or share more than five things a day for that reason.

I have over 1,700 friends. Even if each of them limited themselves to only five things a day, that would be 8,500 posts a day that I would have to look at if I looked at all of them.

I won't name names but I have a couple of friends that are sharing more than 10 things a day and I simply have to pass them all by as I do not have the time.

The moral to this story -- Limit your posts and shares to the five best things you think of or come across.

I prefer original content over shares since the same people have likely shared what you are sharing a hundred times so most of us have seen it all. 😛

Now, I have wasted one of my five post limits on this PSA. 😛

=====================

I've written many times on Facebook (a/k/a/ #Fakebook) about the total death numbers being basically the same as any other year even with the nearly 270,000 alleged Covid-19 deaths.  I have also written about how Covid-19 deaths are overwhelmingly affecting the older age brackets, 55 and older, with 91% of deaths in those age brackets.  82% of deaths are for 65 and older.

Only 9% of deaths are for the age brackets from birth thru 54 years of age with a fraction of 1% of the total deaths for the age groups thru 24 years of age -- meaning school and college-age groups have a near-zero rate of death.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as of November 21, 2020, only 515 out of the total of 240,213 deaths are for age groups birth through 24 years of age.  https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm

In America, 2.8 million people died in 2018, the latest annual report from the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm.  IF, and that's a BIG IF, the actual Covid-19 deaths are 270,000, that is less than a 10% increase in total deaths BUT, and that's a BIG BUT, the total deaths for 2020 have NOT increased by 10% and are basically staying on track for what the 2020 death projections were in 2019, long before any mention of Covid-19 and #Coronapocalypse.

These same death rate percentages apply to these age brackets in non-Covid-19 years which unfortunately illustrates and highlights the fact that older people die at a much higher rate than younger people.

Here is an article in The Blaze online news -- https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-hopkins-analysis-showing-covid-19-has-relatively-no-effect-on-deaths-in-us-retracted  HEADLINE -- Horowitz: Hopkins analysis showing COVID-19 has 'relatively no effect on deaths' in US retracted from publication. Why?

SNIP - Last week, the Johns Hopkins News-Letter, a student newspaper, posted an article by Yanni Gu titled, "A closer look at U.S. deaths due to COVID-19." It was based on an analysis conducted by Dr. Genevieve Briand, an economics teacher at Hopkins. I originally saw the article on Thanksgiving morning and quickly saw this very catchy conclusion. "These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people's assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States."

When I clicked on it Thursday night, the link was dead. - END SNIP

While the article first appeared in the student newspaper for Johns Hopkins, it was quickly taken down but not before the Internet Wayback Machine was able to archive the article.  https://web.archive.org/web/20201126163323/https://www.jhunewsletter.com/article/2020/11/a-closer-look-at-u-s-deaths-due-to-covid-19

SNIP - From mid-March to mid-September, U.S. total deaths have reached 1.7 million, of which 200,000, or 12% of total deaths, are COVID-19-related. Instead of looking directly at COVID-19 deaths, Briand focused on total deaths per age group and per cause of death in the U.S. and used this information to shed light on the effects of COVID-19.

She explained that the significance of COVID-19 on U.S. deaths can be fully understood only through comparison to the number of total deaths in the United States.

After retrieving data on the CDC website, Briand compiled a graph representing percentages of total deaths per age category from early February to early September, which includes the period from before COVID-19 was detected in the U.S. to after infection rates soared.

Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same. - END SNIP

Here is my article where I posted basically the same thing back on July 01, 2020.  https://lennysnewsandviews.blogspot.com/2020/07/coronapocalypse-daily-thread-july-1-2020.html
